We had our annual H1-4 Jersey Day yesterday. Thank you, H1-4 Division Manager Carol Wales and her team, for putting on a great event. I saw a lot of smiles on the players' faces as they skated around when their names were called, so it was obviously a successful event. I also want to mention that H1-4 raised $326 for the Terry Fox Foundation through the sale of old jerseys. Thanks to everyone who participated.
Christmas Food Drive
We will be starting our annual Christmas Food Drive in a few weeks. Please be generous and support this worthy cause.
Photo Day
Your Team Photos will be either on Nov. 2 or Nov. 9. Your Team Manager will let you know.
Pant Shells
If anyone is interested in ND-coloured hockey pant shells with the ND logo, Jill Anderson will be at the Sungod hockey office this evening from 5:30pm to 7:30pm and Monday from 7-9pm if you want to look at them or check out sizes. They are $37 plus tax. You can always contact Jill at
if you can't make those dates. Any teams that might be interested can give a team order to Jill.
I hope everyone had a great summer and is happy to be back at the rink. I know I am!
Many of you have been helping organize our return to the ice, and for that I am very thankful. Rep evaluations are almost complete and the "C" teams will be forming their teams next week.
Terry Fox Run
This Sunday is the annual Terry Fox Run in North Delta. Registration is at 9am (by donation) at Sungod and the run starts at 10am. We would love to see as many NDMHA families and Rep A teams as possible come out to support this worthy cause. Let's give the Terry Fox Foundation as much support as we can. Our H1-4 group is selling last year's jerseys to make room for the new ones with the intent to donate the proceeds to Terry Fox Foundation and possibly other charities. More details on the North Delta run are found here: https://goo.gl/Dq2Sal
Public Service Announcement
I regret to inform everyone that we have received complaints about NDMHA parents drinking in the parking lot during their children’s practices and evaluations. The Corporation of Delta is also aware of the problem and has brought it to our attention too. I ask that you please refrain from doing this as it portrays a poor image and example to our youth.
Reserve the Date
On a lighter note, I am happy to announce that our annual Vancouver Giants Night will be Friday Feb 26 vs the Kelowna Rockets. I am hoping you will mark this down on your calendars and attend the game. It looks like NDMHA alumuni, James Malm ('99) is about to make the team after being drafted by the Giants in 2014. This is a great way for teams to raise some money and cheer on a local boy who got his start at NDMHA. More information on the ticket sales will be coming soon.
